MARBiobanc, Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM), has passed the audit to renew its accreditations by AENOR Certification Company. The process was carried out on May the 17th and the 18th. The accreditation is valid until 2020.

This audit certified that MARBiobanc continues to meet the requirements of the UNE-EN-ISO 9001: 2015 about standard for quality management systems. The report indicates that this system is well to reach an optimum degree of effectiveness. Non-conformities have not been detected and corrections of the main observations have been initiated.

This certification implies recognition of the work carried out by MARBiobanc personnel to adapt their structure to requirements of these regulations. MARBiobanc was one of the first biobanks of the National Biobank Platform, Carlos III Health Institute, to be certified for the ISO 9001: 2015 in 2017.
